MUSIC DIRECTING
As a music director, Nancy loves to create a space where everyone feels welcome, and strives to bring out the best in all involved. She communicates well with actors, pit musicians and creative teams. She is currently working as the Associate Conductor/Keys 2 player on the First National Tour of “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical,” and was previously the Associate Conductor/Keys 2 for the Lulu National Tour of "Waitress." As Associate Music Director of “Evita” at the American Repertory Theatre and Shakespeare Theatre Company, Nancy stick conducted a 14 piece live orchestra.
Nancy has music directed many musicals including Band Geeks (2019), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (2018) and tick, tick… Boom! (2016). Band Geeks, for which Nancy served as both Music Director and Artistic Director, was nominated for five SALT (Syracuse Area Live Theater) awards in the community theater category including Musical of the Year and Best Musical Director. At Berklee, Nancy music directed for the Berklee Summer Musical Theater Workshop, Berklee Curtain Up, Theater for Young Audiences, Musical Theater Writing courses, Musical Theater Club Gala, Musical Theater Orchestra, Bechdel Theater Group, and a new work at Boston Conservatory.
